Romantic night in a 'Hole in the Ground'

You won’t forget the peaceful surroundings of this rustic destination.

Spend a night in a real Hole in the Ground in the middle of the Waikato. Situated between my grapes and the Feijoa orchard.  It comes with a nice breakfast with homemade bread and bacon and eggs (own chickens) and homemade jams. There's an outdoor area made totally of pallet wood where you have the opportunity to cook, have a BBQ and have a dining area.

Only suited for one or 2 persons (pets only at prior approval, service animals are ok).

We (since 1984) are Rivendel Gardens, growing tomatoes, capsicum, beans, courgettes etc. for the local farmers' markets.

Named 'Rivendel Gardens' because of my love for the books. One day I just wanted a 'Hole in the Ground', so I made one.

That was about 12 years ago, later on I extended the space with a bedroom and bathroom to be able to rent it out as a B&B.

I mainly used recovered wood or wood I milled myself.

If you need help, just come to the red shed and I'm happy to help with whatever you need.

In a very rural environment, very quiet. 7 Km out of Cambridge.

We are on a non-exit road, plenty of parking.
